Review Your Resume
Compare your resume with one real opening. Separate requirements you meet, evidence you have but have not shown, and gaps that need actual preparation.
Try this now: Mark three requirements in a job description and point to your proof for each.

What can a resume-to-job review really tell you?
A useful review compares what a vacancy asks for with what your resume actually communicates. It can surface missing information, unclear work examples, potential document-readability problems and requirements that deserve attention. It cannot know an employer's hidden ATS rules or predict whether you will receive an interview.
Start with the actual opportunity
- Save the job title, employer, location and complete job description.
- Check non-negotiable conditions first: permitted degree, experience, work authorization, location, shift and other explicit eligibility rules.
- Compare each meaningful responsibility or requirement with one real example from your resume.
- Mark the finding as clearly supported, partly supported, not demonstrated, or unknown. "Unknown" is not proof of a missing skill.
- Improve the presentation of existing facts; develop missing skills or examples separately.
Four things worth reviewing
| Review area | What a careful reviewer checks | What it cannot prove |
|---|---|---|
| Basic document readability | Consistent headings, readable text, sensible structure | Whether a particular private ATS will rank you |
| Requirement alignment | Whether relevant qualifications and examples are visible | Whether competitors are stronger |
| Recruiter clarity | Can someone understand your relevant experience quickly? | An exact recruiter reaction |
| Authenticity and support | Can you explain the work and substantiate the claims? | That a claim is true without verification |
An illustrative before-and-after
Before: "Worked on SQL database project."
After, only if true: "Built SQL queries to combine book and loan records for a college library coursework project; checked missing IDs before summarizing borrowing activity."
The second version provides a clearer account of actual work. It does not convert coursework into employment or invent performance results.
What the proposed LNR assessment would provide
LNR is exploring a structured comparison between one resume and one job description. This is a product direction, not a purchase offer or a claim that automated review is available on the public site. Use the checklist above today. Any future upload service should explain document handling, limitations, availability and price before asking for personal information.
Do not submit a resume through unrelated contact forms unless specifically instructed by an approved, privacy-reviewed flow.
Questions worth asking before any paid assessment
What inputs are required? Which recommendations are rules versus AI interpretation? Can I see a sample report? How are my documents handled? What happens if my resume legitimately cannot satisfy a mandatory requirement? Can I use the advice without fabricating claims?

Separate what a document shows from what a person can do
A resume and a vacancy can support a useful comparison, but they cannot reveal the candidate pool, a hidden employer workflow or the probability of an interview. A review should give four distinct findings: supported, partly supported, not evident in the document, and cannot infer. “Not evident” does not mean the person lacks the skill; “cannot infer” is a prompt for a question, not a negative score.
A worked comparison without a made-up match percentage
Illustrative vacancy: “Prepare weekly spreadsheet reports; use SQL to investigate exceptions; explain findings to operations staff.” Illustrative resume: “SQL, Excel, Python” plus a genuine class database project. The document lists tools but does not show reporting or an audience-facing explanation. A responsible first edit is to describe the student's actual query and report, if they did them. If they have not worked with exceptions, create a practice sample before claiming that experience. A stronger sentence is only valid when the person can explain every word in an interview.
A review that would be worth receiving
A useful report would point to the exact requirement, quote or locate the relevant resume evidence, explain the uncertainty, prioritize one or two legitimate changes and say why those changes may help a human understand the application. It should separately flag parsing problems that can actually be observed. Greenhouse's candidate guidance notes that parsing can make mistakes; that does not imply a single universal ATS rule.
The public LNR site currently provides the method and worksheet. A personalized resume-to-job review is a product direction being validated; this page does not take a document, complete a review or quote a price. Use the manual comparison guide now. Share personal documents only through a service whose terms and data handling you have checked.
